My approach
☻
Personalized
Every child is unique, which is why I tailor each session to their specific strengths, challenges, and interests. Whether your child needs support with reading fluency, phonemic awareness, or building confidence in their ELA and Literacy skills, I design lessons around their individual learning style, personality, and goals.
❋
Comprehensive
From foundational skills like letter sounds and early literacy to advanced reading comprehension, vocabulary development, and expressive language, my approach covers all essential areas of communication and literacy. Drawing on my background in Speech-Language Pathology and seven years as an ESE Teacher, I help children build strong, well-rounded skills that support long-term academic success and confidence.
✦
Adaptive
Lessons evolve as your child grows. I continuously adjust my methods, pacing, and materials based on their progress, changing needs, and feedback from parents. Whether your child has an IEP, unique abilities, emotional/behavioral challenges, or simply needs extra support, I adapt every session to keep them motivated and moving forward.
✿
Interactive
Learning should be engaging and meaningful. I use hands-on activities, games, stories, and real-life connections to make reading and literacy practice fun and interactive. By incorporating movement, visuals, and topics that spark your child’s curiosity, I help them stay focused, build confidence, and truly enjoy the learning process.
About Me
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders (Speech-Language Pathology) from the University of South Florida. For seven years, I served as an Exceptional Student Education (ESE) teacher with Sarasota County Schools, where I specialized in reading intervention. I have extensive experience supporting children with diverse learning needs, including those with autism spectrum disorders (ASD), emotional and behavioral challenges (EBD), and individualized education plans (IEPs). My greatest joy is helping every child feel confident, capable, and excited about learning.
This specialized session hones in on one to two key areas your child needs most, such as reading intervention, phonemic awareness, spelling, or writing. It's ideal for fitting into busy schedules with multiple weekly sessions or for children who benefit from shorter, more focused learning.
My packages
This once‑a‑week session allows us to address a wide range of skills—including reading intervention, decoding, phonemic awareness, reading comprehension, spelling, and writing. Each meeting is guided by what the child needs most, ensuring the instruction is fully personalized and responsive to their learning goals.
